An Unaccountable Mass: bothersome matter and the humorous life of forms

This project is concerned with materials, excess, not-knowing and the absurd. It engages matter as vital and dynamic through the terms of the practice in which recuperated materials transform, agglomerate and de-form in order to bring about the unforseen. Large, mutating sculptures, at a stage of arrested development will be exhibited with photo-images tracking a practice in which movement and duration continually condition production. Immersion in processes of making and unmaking produces an encounter with materials and therefore knowledge as something fluid, not fixed and often unspeakable.
